Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
Direct experience can be a primary agent of change. Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) can be an effective experiential therapy for individuals and groups that have had difficulty connecting to traditional therapies offered in an office setting. It is also helpful to those who are interested in a client-centered approach although most traditional counseling modalities can be integrated into EAP.

Clinicians at The Thriving You, PLLC have partnered with the PATH International member center, The Legacy Ranch, to offer EAP to children, teens, and adults.

EAP can aid in developing healthier communication, empathy, problem solving, assertiveness, concentration, cooperation, boundaries, mindfulness, and emotional regulation.

EAP has been helpful in the treatment of depression, anxiety, complex trauma/PTSD, ADHD, eating disorders, and addition. Individuals who have difficulties with stress management, adjustment issues, and dysregulated emotions and behaviors often find the grounding and central nervous system regulation experiences to decrease their level of distress and expand their coping tool resources.
