Hello, My name is Gloria

Professional Background and Therapeutic Approach
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience providing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. My work addresses a broad spectrum of concerns, autism, including trauma, stress management, anxiety, depression, and other disorders diagnosed throughout the lifespan. I am committed to offering a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients can freely explore their issues and develop effective coping skills.

Supporting Children and Families
Both as a parent and as a therapist working with young children, I understand the complexities and challenges of raising children, as well as the profound joys that come with parenthood. My approach to therapy with young children involves uncovering underlying issues that may influence a child’s current emotional or behavioral presentation. I believe in working collaboratively with both the child and their parents as a team to address these concerns. My warm, inviting, and casual style helps families feel at ease, reducing any anxiety they may have about participating in the therapeutic process.

I genuinely enjoy helping parents gain a deeper understanding of their children by focusing on child development and temperament. My goal is to support children as they grow in their ability to regulate their emotions and behaviors in constructive ways. Through this collaborative process, I strive to foster stronger parent-child relationships, filled with more laughter and greater enjoyment.

Values and Client Community
I believe that asking for help is often the hardest step in the healing journey. It can be challenging to find someone with whom you feel comfortable letting your guard down. I strive to create a welcoming space that accepts every aspect of who you are. I welcome all and especially those who identify as BIPOC, LGBQIA+, TGNC, first-generation, immigrants, creatives, and/or trauma survivors.

The common issues I address include autism, sexual trauma, childhood trauma, identity exploration, intimacy, building trust in oneself and others, work/life balance, self-esteem, emotional expression, grief, sleep balance, and resetting our inner self.
